500 Sold, and Just Getting Started

Today, we've hit another milestone: we sold our 500th product.

Five hundred candles, wax melts, and room & linen sprays—each one poured, labeled, packed, and sent out with the hope that it would find a place in someone’s home.

Six months ago, The Lost Wax Company was still taking shape. It was a collection of ideas, late nights, test batches, label drafts, and the quiet question of will this actually work?

Now, 500 products later, it feels a little more real.

Not big. Not finished. But real.

Every fragrance is mixed in very small batches—measured, tested, adjusted until it feels just right. Each candle is hand poured. Every label is designed in-house. The packaging is sourced piece by piece. And when an order comes in, it’s made, packed and shipped by yours truly.

There’s no factory line behind the curtain. Just a workbench, a lot of wax, and an attention to detail that borders on obsessive. It’s slower this way. More complicated, definitely.

But it also means that every product that goes out the door has been touched at every stage—intentionally made, not just produced.

Every order has meant something. Not just as a number, but as a person choosing to bring one of these fragrances into their space—to light it, to gift it, to make it part of their daily life. That’s something I don’t take lightly.

There’s a version of the future where 500 doesn’t feel like much at all. Where we’re shipping that many in a single day. Where this milestone becomes a footnote.

I hope we get there.

But I also know this part matters—the beginning, where every sale feels personal, every returning customer feels like a small victory, and every product that leaves the studio carries a little bit of the story with it.

So today isn’t just about a number. It’s about momentum. It’s about proof that this idea—this slightly obsessive, story-driven approach to fragrance—has a place.

And that’s worth celebrating.
